BANA stands for Bath Area Network for Artists. Although BANA is based in Bath, we have artist members from all over the South West who exhibit in our shows and take an active part in our development. Our visual artists represent a diverse range of work from performance and glass work through to sculpture and illustration.

On this website you can find arts news, and events such as talks and exhibitions published by our artists and organisations, as well as arts related articles and information about our membership. Each artist has their own web page where you can view their work and find out about their practice.

Our aim is to collectively promote visual arts, and to raise the profile of arts activity by establishing and strengthening links between artists, artists’ groups and art promoters. We also advocate for increased investment in arts activities and share information, opportunities, advice and skills with our artists. Our website blog encourages collaboration and the opportunity for artists to find support for their practice and to share ideas.

BANA was established in 1998 as a not for profit, constituted organisation, and is run by a voluntary committee of artists who are Directors. We encourage membership from any artists in the South West who are dedicated to a professional arts practice and who wish to promote themselves and engage with other artists.
